Every day, there will be a different focus on subject matter, and the techniques that support them. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, you can choose to work with nature references, abstract ideas, or unusual combinations of subject matter. You will begin with the exciting and chaotic elements of color, texture, gestural line, scrapes, splatters and more. Bring in order with design and composition. Stir all with fun and experimentation. Kathleen uses demonstrations, lectures, directed exercises, and detailed handouts to enable understanding of new information and processes. She will show you how to see your work with “new eyes” - identify problems and manipulate design tools to strengthen your work.
